Glerren Bangalan is a Filipino writer, producer and fundraiser based in London. She recently graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a Master in Fine Arts degree in Creative Producing. 

​

She started her career in 2016, writing, directing, and producing work for Deus Sex Machina, a Filipino live-reading comedy performance group that specialises in short-form new writing.

 

As a storyteller, her strength lies in stories and comedies that explore sex and gender positivity, identity, mental health and relationship dynamics. Her work has been staged in various venues in Manila including DITO: Bahay ng Sining, Pineapple Lab, the Yuchengco Museum, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

 

In London, she has been involved in scratch nights, fringe, and off-West End productions at various venues like Royal Central, LAMDA, The Actors Brighton, and Arcola Theatre. Currently, she is the Development Officer for Wild Arts, a touring opera company based in Essex.

 

In September 2023, she moved to the United Kingdom to pursue higher education. During her time at Royal Central, she was also Postgraduate Officer of the Central Students' Union and a member of the school's Governing Board.

Prior to her work as a producer and fundraiser, Glerren worked in Marketing and PR for one of the Philippines’ top retail distribution companies and as a freelance writer for various publications. She is also a Certified Digital Marketing Professional.
